Why I Finally Switch Away From Chrome

and use Microsoft Edge instead

Google Chrome has been my primary browser for more than 5 years.

With its integration with Google account for synchronization, it made the one and only choice to browse the internet with maximum experience.

Or so I thought…

Over time, I started to notice these inconvenience experiences while using Chrome.

It consumes huge memory

I use my 9 years old laptop as primary device, the model is Lenovo G475 from 2012.

Yes, it’s a relic of the past.

My own relic of a past

Even though I’ve upgraded the RAM to the maximum capacity (8 GB), replaced the original hard drive with a high-speed SSD, and even installed Arch Linux (billed as one of the most lightweight Operating System), it was the computer processor (or the brain part) which couldn’t catch up with this overhaul.

In other word, it’s still slow…

Starting the browser will take forever, let alone loading time and the delay when switching tabs.
